VEX Robotics World Championship 2023

Congratulations to Milford Robotics teams 98992A, 98992B, 98992D, 8823B and 8823E for qualifying for the VEX Robotics World Championship April 25th to April 29th, 2023!

Q&A info meeting on Tuesday, 3/14 at 7:00 PM by zoom

We have parents & students who have been to the World Championship in the past couple of years. They have offered to meet and share their experience and answer any questions you may have. Please join us at this zoom meeting, Tuesday, 3/14 7:00 PM. The zoom link will be shared the day of the meeting so watch your email for that.
Pictures from Worlds 2022 are at bottom of this page. Differences from other tournaments include:
  • Advised to be less trusting of leaving computers, bots, phones, etc... lying around the pit unattended.
  • Public Wi-Fi was terrible, had a paid tier for something expensive (seem to remember $80 per day???)... In 2022 parents were using their phones as hotspots for teams to access internet on laptops.
  • Your pit is more like a convention booth than just a table.
    • Teams decorate the booth to stand out (school logo, team banner, sponsors, state championship banners, etc..)
    • Some teams brought their own practice field to be in their booth
    • A few portable chairs or bean bags can help comfort long days
  • Teams bring candy or items with team logo (buttons, wrist bands, stickers, etc...) to share with other teams
  • The line for T-shirts was always long, about 1 hour wait. If you want a t-shirt, and you see a short line, take the opportunity.
